Adelmo Jr was requested to come out to Go Skateboarding Day in Guatemala, by way of FS Skateshop. On arrival, Adelmo was greeted by hundreds and thousands of screaming fans. Adelmo skated and befriended everyone he came in contact with, and had an amazing time. The Guatemala skateboarding scene is coming up strong, so keep watch of the uprising!

QC: What was it like growing up in Brazil skating? Could you tell the skaters of today the difference between back then and now?
AJ: Brasil is amazing, the vibe is really positive and pure, we don’t have as many spots as here but we have a ot of fun with the difficulties.

QC: When did you decide to be vegetarian, what’s your favorite dish to cook?
AJ: It was nine years ago, at first for healthy reasons, and after reading and knowing the power of food, what they can really do for your body, be in balance, that’s what made me be a vegan and eat organic food, back to our roots.

QC: Tell me about the project you did with the reggae artists who came to Brazil to play? How many people showed up? Who were the artist that you invited?
AJ: It was a reggae concert to congregate brothers and sisters, there were five local artists and Dezarie from the Virgin Islands playes as well. It was around 700 people together and it was a really positive experience, for the love of the ALMIGHTY.

QC: How do you make it in Brazil and US, as an pro skater with a family?
AJ: We just give thanks and praise for the opportunity wherever we are, trying to live in good ways, with love and respect and balance with nature.

QC: Where do you enjoy to skate the most when you in U.S.
AJ: I love to skate all the downtowns, there are a lot of spots around them.

QC: What is one thing you give any advice for the youth?
AJ: Learn to respect, honor the elders, live in balance with family, friends and nature, with your skate community, and everything you are part of.

QC: I heard you eat avocado’s with milk and sugar is that true?
AJ: In Brasil we have the custom of eating like that, as a smoothie.

QC: What would you do if you were the president of United States?
AJ: Have a righteous impact with decisions that would help others not just in this country but all over.

QC: Thanks for your time. What makes Organika the Dream team?
AJ: The uniqueness of everyone on the team.

QC: How would you describe yourself in few words?
AJ: A JAH servant.

AJ: Zach, you look like your brother a lot, is there any funny situation involving both of you?
ZL: Have you ever seen the movie If looks could kill? That type of thing happens alot.

AJ:Would you leave in the west coast, and if yes, where?
ZL:I love the east but I would love to try and live in different places all over the world for short periods of time. SD for the winter maybe?

AJ:How did the idea about the Zach Tv come along?
ZL: MTV wanted me to do a show for them, but Matt Daughters told me that I would have more creative control if I did it on the web site, so I was down.

AJ:Is there any funny stories about skating Pulaski?
ZL: Endless!! But have all you guys there this past summer for BFTN was amazing!!! just watching everyone chill and skate with all my essays all day was sick, and funny.

AJ:Which country or city would you like to visit? Why?
ZL:My buddy Mark has been living in Berlin so I would really like to go there, and also Brazil to see your old stomping grounds. I would like to go as many places as I can before I get put to sleep.

AJ:How about for a skate trip?
ZL:Yeah anywhere sounds sick!!

AJ:Who is your inspiration growing up?
ZL: Bobby Puleo, Jake Rupp, Karl Watson, Toebee Parkhurst, Quim Cardona

AJ:And now?
ZL:Same as above plus you

AJ:How do you choose a song for a video part?
ZL:Well Brad Rosado helped me find the songs for Concrete Jungle, thanks Brad. I usually make a song up in my head then try and find one that sounds like the one I just made up then use it.

AJ:What’s your favorite thing to do besides skateboarding?
ZL:Gosh, still working on that.
