QuimTime Exposure: EP 2.

17 years ago, in 1992 I rode for World Industries. It was such a cool experience, I got to go down to LA and hang out with the best skaters of that time. We were also getting paid $100.00 per month as ams and were being taken on shopping sprees for new GAP gear with Steve Rocco. We would sleep on bunk beds at the World park and skate all night long, filming with Socrates and I even got to stay at Rodney Mullen’s house a few times.

What you are about to see is footage of me that was supposed to be in the Love Child video but for some reason wasn’t. When I received the Love Child video in a box in 1992 I was so stoked. Thinking I had a part in it, I rushed the video over to my friends house to watch it. And as the credits rolled I thought to myself “Maybe they saved my part for the credits, or maybe after, like a little surprise part”. But no, there was nothing of me. So you can imagine how stoked I must have been when I saw this footage for the first time EVER last night, 17 years later.

It’s looking like the Organikans have been spending some time over at the Berrics. Karl last week, and now Walker puts down a bangin.

Just when you thought Organika’s Karl Watson had no more never been done tricks left to do, he comes out of left field and bangs some more out. Amazing job Mr.Watson.

Global Skateboarding hit up Organika headmaster Karl Watson to give the lowdown on the beginning and the end of the pier.

When Zach Lyons came to the attention of Karl Watson, it was right before the release of Chris Hall’s Get Familiar. This was the video showcasing many upcoming talents on the East Coast. Many of those people are now stars in the skateboard world, all with the help of Chris Hall’s video. Here is Zach’s part, which helped him get into the hands of Organika Skateboards.

After the release of Concrete Jungle, Organika felt Zach and Walker worked so hard they sent them on an exotic location, somewhere far far away. There, they spent some nice time on the beach, relaxing before the next Organika project started. Now they are both back, and on the streets filming for the next Organika project, but the memory of the trip will live forever.

A bonus game to get a little bit extra serious!
